Game difficulty is, once again, a hot topic on social media. The announcement of Elden Ring has resulted in floods of people demanding difficulty options in From Software (and only From Software…) games. Now, I’ve already covered my thoughts on difficulty in relation to the Soulsborne games, but today I wanted to take a new a slightly different approach. Today I wanted to tackle game difficulty from the perspective of a parent, and how I think difficulty can be used to teach kids lessons they would struggle to encounter, and therefore overcome, in every day life. Give it a listen.
