After Smite successfully launched on Switch earlier this year, Hi-Rez have been working behind the scenes working on the next big update to the God-Smashing MOBA. After years of development time, Jormungandr finally makes his titanic debut.
Jormungandr to those who not fully up-to-date on their Norse Mythology is a Serpent so large that he can wrap his body around the entirety of the earth. He is the harbinger of death, the ender of days and the bringer of Ragnarok. Aptly named the World Serpent, Jormungandr brings with him a wealth of destructive abilities fitting for a being of this scale.
Jormungandr’s size is what defines him, so Hi-Rez have went and made him 3x taller than any other god currently in the game…and that is just his head. He is truly ginormous. Whether he is spreading poison or arcing through the sky bring death to all those below, Jormungandr is a terrifying creature capable of going toe-to-toe with the best Gods each pantheon has to offer.
To celebrate his release, the Legend of Camelot storyline has been expanded. With expansion comes rewards. In this case, new skins for Ah Puch and Ne’Zha. Those of you who have Twitch Prime can even pick up a free King Arthur with a fantastic Lich King inspired skin. Definitely worth picking up whilst you can.
